Coronavirus in France

In response to a number of requests from customers and trade partners around the world for the latest information on Coronavirus (Covid-19) in France, NEER Service would advise the following:

  • The French area with most cases is Oise, north of Paris. Most of the infections there appear to be linked to a 60-year-old schoolteacher who died of the Covid-19 respiratory disease last week.
  • The French government has put in place a number of measures to prevent the spread of the virus and public gatherings of over 5,000 people have been banned. For example, the Paris half marathon was cancelled last Sunday March 1st. In addition, the world famous Louvre museum was closed last Sunday and today as a result of fears by employees concerning the large number of visitors to the museum.

At the current time, shipments to and from France can continue unaffected.

Some unrelated limited industrial action by ports employees is not impacting customs clearance or the import and export of household goods to or from France.
