France Passes Law Prohibiting In-Home Services
In further measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in France, Neer Service would advise that the government has passed the following law:
“In the case of home deliveries, the drivers, after communication with the addressee or his representative, leave the packages in front of the door using alternative methods that confirm correct delivery and do not collect the addressee’s signature.” (Translation)
At the current time, ports and airports are operating and Neer Service are able to efficiently transfer in storage shipments to and from ports and airports.
While continuing to seek guidance on any exceptions to providing “in-home services”, Neer Service will store inbound and outbound shipments free of charge (with reduced handling costs) at our secure warehouse until laws affecting packing and delivery services in the customers home are relaxed.
Needless to say, any moving company offering to provide in-home origin and destination services will be breaking the law and endangering the lives of your customer and moving crews.
